Parks are more than playgrounds, fields, and open spaces. They are where children grow, families connect, athletes compete, seniors stay active, and neighbors build lasting memories.
Dacoda is running because the Feather River Recreation and Park District deserves leadership that listens carefully, plans responsibly, protects public resources, and follows through. His goal is to help build a district where facilities are cleaner, public spaces feel safer, recreation programs are accessible, and residents can see how priorities are established and funds are used.
Public service should not be about collecting titles. It should be about listening, planning, solving problems, and delivering results.

Four Commitments to Our Recreation District
Every proposal should begin with community needs, responsible planning, and an honest understanding of what the district can accomplish.
Clean and Well-Maintained Parks
Establish clearer maintenance priorities, improve cleanliness, address aging amenities, and create long-term care plans for parks, fields, playgrounds, restrooms, trails, and public spaces.
Safe and Welcoming Public Spaces
Improve lighting, visibility, emergency access, community partnerships, and responsible safety measures while protecting privacy and maintaining public trust.
Inclusive Recreation and Youth Opportunity
Expand accessible, sensory-friendly, and affordable recreation opportunities for children, teenagers, adults, seniors, athletes, and residents with disabilities.
Accountability and Responsible Investment
Support transparent budgeting, measurable project goals, realistic timelines, community input, and responsible pursuit of grants, partnerships, sponsorships, and other funding opportunities.

These priorities represent a practical starting point for improving the district. Every major proposal must be evaluated through public input, feasibility studies, responsible budgeting, available funding, and board approval.

Policy concepts and project estimates are preliminary unless otherwise identified. Final decisions would require community input, feasibility review, funding identification, and approval by the appropriate public body.

Before we can improve our parks, we need an honest picture of where they stand today. The Park Audit Series documents park conditions, identifies community concerns, recognizes successful features, and creates a public baseline for future accountability.
