Rooted in the Community I Hope to Serve
I was born in Paradise and raised in Oroville, where my family's roots extend back four generations. Oroville is not simply where I live. It is the community that shaped me, the place where my wife and I are raising our family, and the place I have chosen to continue building my life.
Growing up here taught me that a community is defined by more than its boundaries. It is built through the people who coach a team, volunteer at an event, help a neighbor, support a local business, serve on a committee, or speak up when something needs to improve.
Like many local families, I understand both the strengths of our community and the challenges residents experience. I have seen what happens when people work together with a shared purpose, and I have also seen good ideas lose momentum when planning, communication, or follow-through falls short.
Those experiences are a major reason I became more involved in public service. I want to help preserve what makes Oroville special while working honestly and responsibly to improve the places where our families gather, play, learn, and build memories.
The Reason I Keep Showing Up
My wife and I are raising four sons in the community that raised us. Being a husband and father has changed how I think about public service. Every decision involving parks, recreation, schools, safety, and public investment eventually reaches a family.
I want my children—and every child in our community—to have safe places to play, opportunities to participate, adults willing to listen, and a hometown they can be proud of.
Family is also why I believe accessibility and inclusion must be part of the plan from the beginning. Our parks and programs should welcome children, parents, seniors, athletes, and residents with disabilities. A strong recreation district should create opportunities for people at every age and ability level.
I do not believe leadership begins after someone wins an election. It begins by showing up, listening, volunteering, studying the issues, and accepting responsibility before asking others for their vote.

Experience Built Through Work and Responsibility
My professional background has taken me through public health, pest management, construction, business ownership, supervision, mental-health care, retail, and customer service. These roles taught me how to solve problems, work with the public, manage responsibilities, communicate clearly, and make decisions when resources are limited.

My education in business management strengthened my understanding of budgeting, operations, planning, leadership, and organizational decision-making. Those skills matter when evaluating public projects, setting priorities, managing limited resources, and measuring results.

From 2014 through 2022, I owned and operated a locally based metal-building dealership that served customers across most of the country. The business supplied metal-building packages for a wide range of projects, with part of our focus involving government-contract opportunities.
Operating the dealership taught me how to evaluate project requirements, communicate with customers and contractors, prepare proposals, understand costs, coordinate suppliers, manage timelines, and follow through on complex commitments.
During the difficult post-COVID economic recovery, we sold the dealership rights in 2022. That decision allowed me to place greater focus on my professional career, family, community involvement, and long-term public-service goals. The experience continues to shape how I approach planning, budgeting, contracts, accountability, and responsible decision-making.
My years in mosquito and vector control connected my work directly to public health and community safety. Professional pest management and supervision have required careful inspections, documentation, regulatory awareness, customer service, communication, and practical problem-solving.
Leadership Is Built Through Service
Coaching has given me the opportunity to work directly with young people and families. I have coached Oroville youth soccer at different age levels, including U16 and U6 teams, and I spent approximately three years helping coach Taekwondo.
I currently hold the rank of Recommended Black Belt in Taekwondo. Martial arts reinforced the importance of discipline, patience, respect, accountability, and continued personal growth.
Coaching also showed me how much dependable facilities, affordable programs, positive adult leadership, and community support matter. Recreation is not simply entertainment. It creates opportunities for children to develop confidence, teamwork, resilience, and a sense of belonging.

Public Service Starts with Showing Up
My community involvement grew from a simple belief: if I want things to improve, I also have a responsibility to participate. Each role has helped me better understand how local decisions are made, how public money is reviewed, and how important it is for residents to have accessible representatives.
City of Oroville Parks Commissioner
Appointed in December 2025 to help review park priorities, community needs, preservation efforts, and opportunities for improving Oroville's public spaces.
Measure U Citizens Oversight Committee Member
Reviews information connected to the use of voter-approved Measure U revenue and supports public transparency and accountability.
School Site Council Vice Chair
Elected to the School Site Council and currently serves as Vice Chair, working with parents, educators, and school leadership on priorities affecting students and the school community.
Parents Club Chairman
Elected Parents Club Chairman, helping strengthen family participation, volunteer involvement, school activities, and support for students.
Youth Sports and Taekwondo Coach
Has worked with young athletes and families through Oroville youth soccer and Taekwondo, reinforcing teamwork, discipline, positive leadership, and the need for dependable recreation opportunities.
Community Volunteer
Participates in local events and service efforts because strong communities depend on residents willing to contribute their time.
Our Recreation District Deserves Leadership That Follows Through
I am running for the Feather River Recreation and Park District Board because parks and recreation touch nearly every part of community life.
Our parks are where children play, families gather, athletes train, seniors stay active, and community traditions take place. When these spaces are clean, safe, accessible, and well maintained, they strengthen the entire community. When facilities decline or residents stop feeling heard, the effects reach far beyond a single park.
I believe the district needs a practical plan centered on maintenance, safety, accessibility, youth programs, responsible investment, public transparency, and long-term care for its facilities.
That does not mean promising that every project can happen immediately. Responsible leadership means identifying needs, studying costs, pursuing grants and partnerships, establishing priorities, listening to residents, and clearly explaining what can be accomplished.
I am not running because I believe one person has every answer. I am running because I am willing to ask questions, study the facts, work with others, remain accessible, and be accountable for the decisions I make.

Listen Before Deciding
Community input should be gathered early enough to influence decisions, not after the direction has already been chosen.
Study the Facts
Important decisions should be grounded in reliable information, realistic costs, and a clear understanding of the consequences.
Respect Taxpayers
Public money must be treated carefully, transparently, and with an emphasis on measurable community benefit.
Plan Beyond the Next Election
Facilities and programs should be evaluated through long-term maintenance, sustainability, and community needs.
Remain Accessible
Residents deserve representatives who communicate, answer questions, and remain visible after Election Day.
Measure Results
Goals should be understandable, progress should be tracked, and residents should be told honestly when plans change.
Work Across Differences
Local government works best when people can disagree respectfully and still cooperate on practical solutions.
Put Residents Before Politics
Community needs should come before personal recognition, political status, or partisan division.
